Recent Great Diamond Island Reviews

Our yearly get-away!

5 of 5
This was our 3rd year staying here. The house is fantastic with great views of Casco Bay. Favorite activities include morning coffee and meals on the porch, kayaking around the island and walking the beach with our son and dogs. Although there are golf carts allowed on the island, there are no cars so it's like stepping back in time. We cannot wait to visit again next year!

Wonderful, charming home and time in lovely Diamond Cove.

5 of 5
We had such a nice time on Great Diamond Island. It is a simple, magical place just a short ferry ride from Portland. The house was just right for myself, my two grown sons and their girl friends. It is very clean and well equipped. Ellen and John are perfect hosts. John met us at the ferry, showed us the house and they were available for any questions throughout our stay. We so enjoyed the history of the island, exploring, using the swimming pool, playing in the games room (fantastic old ten pin bowling!) We enjoyed dinner at Diamond Edge, going to Sea Glass beach, riding the bikes, the 4th of July costume parade, etc. It's such a quaint, very chill and quiet island, but only a short ferry ride to Portland, which is a great city. The food, music, shopping are awesome. We had the best vacation. Thank you for sharing your home. Highly recommend it.
