Beautiful property, needs a little work to be perfect

4 of 5
We loved the location, the large rooms and the exquisite old home in general. The bedrooms were private and the high ceilings made them quiet & roomy. The sheets and beds were heavenly. The large dining and living room areas were perfect for entertaining and visiting (we were in town for a family wedding). The basement had additional space to gather, but the frigid temperatures in Baltimore that weekend prevented us from enjoying this extra area. The house featured many wonderful touches, but there were several items that needed some attention. Nothing major, but a little work on this place would really help make it 5 star. (Many light bulbs were out, doorknob was missing on top floor bathroom, no trash bags, toilet in front bedroom not anchored, staircase pickets loose/missing, etc...) The window units made the windows super drafty and the temperature in the house vary greatly from room to room, but the weather was incredibly cold during our visit. The radiator heat was lovely and kept warm where it could. I hope the owner(s) continue to maintain and improve this property, as it is a historic gem that deserves the TLC! Great spot for large groups who want common space as well as private time. Convenient location to explore Baltimore. Parking spaces were a huge help. Overall, this is a property you should consider!!!

The location and views from this place provide a terrific launch for exploring Baltimore.

We appreciated that many amenities were provided. It was very cold while we were in Baltimore and the owner made sure we also had a space heater. They also shared really nice restaurant recommendations. Mt. Vernon neighborhood is a treat!
