Lovely with exceptions

4 of 5
This condo has an unparalleled view of the ocean! It is very close to the water as well as the pool. The pool was closed from Thursday to Saturday during our stay because a table blew over and shattered. This condo is excellent for handicapped people because of the elevator, the proximity to the pool and ocean and it being one level. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything we needed including spices! Disadvantages are a very poor master bedroom mattress and no full size couch, just 2 loveseats. We had difficulty with the disposal but it was repaired immediately.

Beachfront beauty

5 of 5
We stayed here for a week. The condo is super clean with very comfortable couches and master bed. We didn't use the second bedroom. My only real comment about the master bed is how high off the floor it was. I'm 5' tall and I literally had to put my foot on the bedrail and push off the floor and plop myself on the bed. There is not a stool to assist getting in and honestly if you got out during the night a stool could pose problems anyways. The door to the master bath does not latch closed without pushing hard to make it do so. You are given whatever is left on a roll of toilet paper and one other roll. A small bar of soap and small bottles of shampoo, lotion and bath gel. This is better than one place I stayed and not as nice as others, especially the toilet paper part. I did love the extra bath towels, laundry detergent, dish soap, dishwasher detergent and paper towels. Very little is there for cooking like spices and say olive oil. Fairly good selection of pans & dishes. Would be nice if they could supply coffee filters at least. It's one thing we travel with just in case. The building was quiet during our stay. The balcony is the best part. It's well supplied with comfortable seating and even a small table so you can sit and stare at the ocean. Another thing, no beach towels which okay I guess that's fine BUT also no beach chairs? I think this is the first time we've rented a beach place (all over the country) without beach chairs. So either bring your own or call Isle of Palms Beach Chair Company well in advance and reserve what you need. We loved the set up and take down that they offer. Would I stay here again, yes I would.
