Fantastic Vacation

5 of 5
This unit was exactly what we needed. We have 3 kids under 5 that are highly active. There was immediate access to the beach which was fantastic for play, collecting shells and playing in puddles/wake. The pool was good for the kids to swim when the waves were too big, but was a little cold. We were 15 minutes to Broadway at the beach which had all kinds of things to do. We hit up ice cream just down the road and had dinner a couple nights. The kitchen was well stocked and there were chairs and other items that were very useful for the beach. the granite counter tops were great for keeping clean. The two rooms were good size and the bathrooms were perfect for what we need. towels and linens were well stocked and the washer and dryer were great. The deck provided a fantastic view and a nice place to wake up to in the morning. It was a fantastic week.

Very Nice Place

4 of 5
Our first time renting through VRBO. Everything went smoothly and we received very fast responses from Dave through the reservation process. The building is a little old, but in very good shape. It is an all wood structure so we could hear the neighbors every once in a while and people on the front "hall" and stairs (no big deal). it was nice being on the top floor with the vaulted ceiling and sky lights and great views out both the front and back. As others have said it has very dated decorating/furniture, but this is a very cost friendly unit so again, no big deal. The beds were just OK, the kitchen was very well equipped with updated appliances and plenty of cookware. The shower faucet in the master bath needed some work as it was difficult to get it to a position to deliver warm water, but everything else worked well. The pool was well cared for and usually only had a few people in it at a time. Getting lounge chairs at the pool was not an issue as most people went out on the beach. The beach was nice, clean, and mildly crowded, but not too bad. The only drawback about the beach was that the building sits right beside a drainage canal from an inland lake that drains into the ocean. This kind of breaks up the beach and there were signs about the possibility of bacteria after rain events. The condo location was excellent as it was only about a mile walk to get to Surfside Pier, and a short drive out to 17 to get to shopping and additional restaurants. Great unit for a great price!
