Beautiful and comfortable house in a fantastic location with spectacular views

5 of 5
Well maintained and well-appointed without being fussy. Photos don't completely capture how dramatic the views are. Had a little trouble with the front door lock, but who cares? Noone around to break in! (and the owners plan to replace it)

quiet, peaceful, lovely

4 of 5
This property was very nice for what I was needing: A quiet place to hit my mental reset button in lovely surroundings. The cabin was beautiful with a nicely remodeled kitchen. The basement kids' suite was a big hit with the kids - especially the "cabin bunk beds". The outdoor surroundings are beautiful and the leaves were changing colors. If you're looking for a place to stay that is close enough to a town to run out and do things, this is not the place for you, as it is about a 20 minute drive on curvy, hilly roads to get back to town. I didn't mind this, though, as i enjoyed the peace and quiet. It would have been nice if there was a walking trail from the property to the lake. Take firewood with you, as there is no firewood on site for the awesome wood-burning fireplace. Also, the upstairs bathtub drain wouldn't seal all the way, so it wouldn't hold water for very long. All in all, though, this cabin was perfect for a refreshing retreat, and I hope I can return someday.
