Recent Austin Lake Estates Reviews

The pictures don’t do it justice, this is a very high end zen inspired home.

5 of 5
With all the amenities you need for kids, a convenient location, and chefs kitchen, this home covers all the bases. The owner is a great guy and super responsive, though we really had few requests as everything is pretty much ready to go from when you step through the doors. Stay here with confidence, all the reviews pointed toward a great stay and this is what we experienced as well. Our stay was great, hope yours will be too. Go AUSTIN!

Weekend Couple Escape

5 of 5
My wife and I decided to go to the Texas Hill Country for a couple of days and wanted a quiet place to act as “home base” near Austin with easy access to Wimberley, Gruene, San Marcos etc. We settled on this creek side cottage after looking at the pictures on vrbo and it did not disappoint. You wind off of Bee Caves road which is pretty busy and think this will be a suburb or housing development. Not the case! What we found felt pretty secluded. The house is perched on a hillside next to a main house over looking a stream. The place is has a back wall of windows looking down on the creek and we enjoyed watching the deer, egrets and other wildlife in the mornings and at dusk. Even saw a coyote come down for a drink when We opened the windows in the morning to listen to the creek. The place itself is well appointed. An office- another small room with a daybed, Small but sufficient bathroom and a great room that has a queen bed/seating area/ kitchenette. The place was quiet clean and well maintained/decorated. The owner Katheryn was communicative and made it all very easy. All and all a great location as it lets you easily slip into Austin and out to the hill country without coming anywhere near I-35. Would recommend for a couple or posibly a family of 3-4 looking for a quiet alternative to a hotel room.
