        Amazing!

        5 of 5
This property was so incredibly lovely! We would absolutely stay again. As soon as we arrived their was just a sense of peacefulness. The back of the house backs up to the inlet and couldn't be more beautiful. The house had a lovely kitchen, stocked with all of the kitchenware you would need. The furniture was amazing & the beds were so comfortable. We ate every meal on the back deck. The neighborhood was quiet. It truly was a relaxing vacation and would definitely rent this property again. The home owners have done everything to make it a lovely stay & the rental managers were amazingly helpful!

        Great place to get away

My family visited the last week in August. The views of Chincoteague Bay are amazing! We felt instantly relaxed as soon as we arrived. Captain's Cove resort itself was a quiet, friendly community. Having the covered porch was great for the days that it rained, and the clubhouse pool came in handy on those days too ($4/day or $10/week, and free for age 5 and younger). There was a also a playground that we didn't take advantage of. The house itself was perfect for our family and felt upscale. It was also clean and had all of dishware and appliances we needed for the week. John the owner was very helpful and responded quickly via email whenever I had questions. The beach is a short trip (~20-25 minutes) to Chincoteague State Park. There is plenty of other things to do such as hiking, bird-watching, pony-watching, visiting Tom's Cove vistor's center, the lighthouse and NASA Wallops Visitor Center. Make sure you stop at the Island Creamery! We're looking forward to our next trip.
