  • A beautiful casa in an ideal location
    5 of 5

We stayed five nights in late October in Casa Ciccone and easily could have stayed longer. The house itself is spacious, charming and beautiful— and spotlessly clean. We were only two people so had plenty of space to spread out! It is equipped with everything you need to prepare even elaborate meals (we did not) and be comfortable. The outside terraces are gorgeous, with lovely gardens and patches of sun or shade as you wish. Even in autumn we enjoyed sitting outside among the rosemary and lavender, in the small village, the mini market supplies most grocery necessities, the bar is friendly, and the one restaurant, Antico Arco, delicious for pizza or a larger traditional dinner. The location is excellent for short day trips to Alborobello, Locorotondo, Cisternina. Finally, our hosts! Francesco and Marisa could not be more helpful, from booking through departure, we would certainly book this casa again if we return to Puglia for more exploring.

Tonia and Antonio are great hosts and the Trulli which has been in their family for generations is a great experience. You need a car and Tonia met us at the train station in Martina Franca to guide us to the Trulli. The GPS location was accurate though so do not worry about finding it. The house is very pleasant and has everything you need, and has an Orchard with some very tasty fruit. We went down South(35 mins) to the old city of Taranto, 45mins up North to the caves at Castelabate and Albarello, across East to the sea to several places hour plus and came from the West from the Sassi district in Maratea, 1.5 hours. Martina Franca is also a great place itself with a host of other interesting and picturesque places nearby.Excellent hosts, great place, stay here!
