I highly recommend this property from which to explore the Piedmonte. Four of us stayed here for one week while exploring the Barolo and Barbaresco wine growing regions of Piedmonte. The kitchen provides every conceivable appliance for preparing meals and Tania, who lives in Alba, prepared an extensive list of nearby wineries, restaurants, local grocery stores, bakeries and sights worth investigating, etc. with hours and days of operation indicated that facilitated our enjoyment of our stay. The house is a recently renovated farmhouse atop a hill with an awesome view of the region below. Tania, who speaks excellent English, was also easily available by phone to answer any and all questions we had about the lovely property and the surrounding area. Behind the property lies a hazelnut orchard behind two large mission fig trees that offer delicious fruit to supplement morning breakfast. We used the outdoor grilling facility to prepare several meals. An electronically-controlled gate used to access this rural property provides a sense of security and maps of the region are available at the property that make navigating the intricate road system of the Piedmonte relatively easy, if not seamless. The property's location is approximately equidistant between the two major wine-producing areas, Barolo and Barbaresco and interesting cities, such as Alba Asti, Bra and Turino are readily accessible by either car or train. The journey by car up and down the steep, narrow roads of the region is not for the faint of heart but rewarded by the shear beauty of the environment. I would not think twice about renting the property again if and when we return to Piedmonte.
