The accommodations and the property were wonderful! Couldn’t have asked for a nicer location and lovely surroundings. The pool and beach were spectacular! Met plenty of nice people with suggestions for local activities and eateries. Thank you to the owners as well as the property management people!
My wife, my son, and I were all impressed by the property and the unit we used in particular. It was clean and comfortable. Everything seemed to work well including the Wi-Fi which made my son happy and allowed me to research the weather and the seas before we took the boat out to dive. Tracy was very helpful and does a great job with the rental process. I should say that it will make it easier for someone renting one of these rooms if they read all the information that the owner sends you. We were bring our own boat to dive from for the first time on this trip and I was focused on the information related to bringing a boat onto the property, but missed the document that tells you how to get into your room. I called Tracy and he was glad to talk me through it but it would have been better if I had read it.
Everyone we met there was friendly and informative. Talking to the other tenants really helped us get things done safely. Security seemed to be a bit much but it was nice to be able to leave our gear in the boat without someone stealing it. I think the security gate is what made that possible, so in the end that was great too.
The only negative points I have for the entire stay have to do with the marina. First, it is way too expensive to leave your boat there overnight. We actually had a trip planned to Panama City with a condo that had a marina but had to change due to hurricane Michael and the marina was literally 10 times less expensive than Kawama. So we simply didn’t leave our boat in the water. That brings me to the second problem. We used the boat ramp and in the mornings at high tide it was great, but when we came in in the afternoon at low tide, it was very difficult to load the boat. I basically had to wench it out of the water and I don’t know if we had been unloading at low tide if it would have even been possible. But that is the only two negatives we experienced and over all the stay was great. We will do it again.
