  • Lovely location, warm welcome and attentive hosts, good area for walking dogs away from any roads

My Wife and I, and our pets, spent Christmas and New Year 2018 at Bluebell Byre during a transition period as we moved to the Sussex area. The cottage is spacious and warm, very nice in the winter months. We can only imagine how lovely this must be in the summer and will have to come back to see. The location is a little remote from the village of Rolvenden, but that adds to the charm and seclusion of the cottage. A pub with good tasty food is ~30 mins walk or ~5 mins drive away. Daisy and Ian are excellent hosts, responding to questions within an hour at most, (I blame that on my cell phone reception is the area). They are easy going and very easy to chat with. The TV stopped working on Christmas eve and was exchanged and replace on the same afternoon by Ian. The cottage is equipped with plenty of dishes and other cooking utensils, more than enough for 4 people.

  • Perfect little hideaway in the heart of Kent

The converted stable building provides a cosy home away from home. It's interior is tastefully decorated and a very successful combination of modern/contemporary and nostalgic/period styles. All the family was always looking forward to returning to our nice little holiday home and enjoy a long, hot bath, a relaxing game in the living room, or enjoying a film in the TV lounge. Emma and Garret, the owners, are very welcoming and always eager to provide help, support, and tipps about what to do in the area. Canterbury is also less than an hour away. Sissinghurst is a nice little village, and the location is ideal to reach all corners of Kent between London and the coast, plus parts of East Sussex. Actually about the only downside is that at some point it's over and you have to leave again. We're certainly planning to come back one time!
