I'm including some cautions, but the reader should know that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & the owners were very helpful and thoughtful. I highly recommend this property & wish we could have stayed longer!
This was the 1st VRBO property where the owner sent a separate contract after we paid through VRBO. The owner asked me to sign & return it ASAP. I always thoroughly read contracts before signing, so I emailed Frances several questions about language in the contract that made me uneasy. She interpreted my questions as a sign that we would cause trouble for them and asked me to cancel. It was too late for us to cancel without incurring a penalty, and fortunately, they accepted our reservation.
After that interaction, I'm sure both sides were apprehensive about what to expect; however, I must say that this was by far the best place away from home that we have stayed to date. Our family of five adults and our son's pet dog stayed for three nights in this lovely, Disney-themed home. Frances provided so many thoughtful things to really make for a wonderful stay without even visiting the park. The pool table was fun. Cooking in the kitchen with so many seasonings, dishes, utensils, cookware provided was also nice. We didn't watch the movies, play Xbox games or use items in the toy closet, but it's clear that Frances has thought of so many things! We were there to spend time with our adult kids, so we did not visit Disneyland; however, our morning walks showed how fast & easily we could have walked there if we chose to do that. Having free, convenient parking right there for our 3 cars was also helpful.
I didn't use the hot tub because I was too wiped out (still on East coast time), but two of our kids enjoyed it for about 15 minutes. They could see some of the fireworks, though they weren't all visible as we had expected. Nonetheless, it's nice to have the option to relax in the hot tub.
You should be aware that the early checkout (10 am) coupled with an expectation to wash and dry all towels may be a challenge on checkout day. Plan 1 hr to wash and 2 hrs to dry, so start the last wash by 7 am to be done by 10 am! If you use colored & white towels, Add 2 more hours to that time to wash & dry separate loads! We got done with 5 minutes to spare, but only because we had to plan and start early! Other than that challenge, everything was really perfect for our family...We'd definitely stay there again, especially if Disneyland is on our itinerary.
