  • Cozy, comfortable place in good location to ski BC and enjoy Avon
    5 of 5

My 2 adult sons and I were there in the busy Christmas/New Year's week and we enjoyed it very much. Walk with your skis to Bear Lot and take free shuttle to either BC Landing or BC Village. Good location! Everything was as advertised. Great to have a garage, so no ice/snow scraping needed. Also, a guest parking pass was provided. The unit is 1st floor, so no stairs to climb, but it is somewhat "basement level" with concrete floors. Still, there are 1 or 2 half or high windows in the 2 bedrooms and a full sliding glass door in the living room that opens onto a private below-the-grade patio that you can climb out of directly to the lawn. Convenient! Some light, no views, but good location for a basement apartment. Nice little real wood fireplace in the corner. Very comfortable linens/towels for the 2 bed rooms & two small interior bathrooms. The master b.r. had a pass-through closet & dresser area between the b.r. and its little bath and a swell little bedside humidifier. (Thanks!) Kitchen had nice appliances and lots of nice dishes, glasses, utensils, knives, etc., though we did not cook much. Small dining table with only 2 chairs in dining nook. Let's face it, the furniture is limited due to small size of unit -- 2 beds for 2, one big couch & one living room chair, and two chairs at table in dining nook. Not really big enough to have family or guests visit or eat with you (imho). Nice large TV (just in LR) with Dish channels, but we brought our Roku and just watched streaming content. Best feature for us was it was pet friendly. We paid the pet fee and had 2 dogs, approx. 50 lbs each who hung out inside while we skied. We kept the great pet blanket on the couch at all times. Our only hitches were (1) one of our dogs chewed on the remote for the TV, so we immediately ordered a replacement on Amazon; and (2) the upstairs neighbor told us at 9:45 one evening that our TV was too loud for his sick daughter to get to sleep. We didn't mind turning it down. We also heard her coughing upstairs quite a bit (poor kid), so I guess the sound proofing could be a little better, but it wasn't a problem for us. All in all, very nice stay.

  • Great Beaver Creek Townhouse

This place was a great affordable option very close to Beaver Creek. It was clean, spacious and well stocked! We especially enjoyed the wood burning fire place after a long day of skiing.
