The house is great with two minor critiques 1) you may as well not have a tv with YouTube TV and terrible internet. 2) a pool table would complete the property.
My major problem is BC’s inability to properly balance “members” with rental guests. To begin, due to poor weather, our tee times were canceled with no other opportunities to play because a “member” tournament was pushed back. Second (and more bothersome) we were denied access to the ENTIRE bar and restaurant on the property because of a “member” only reservation. Really? If you allow renters to have access to your private facilities, then you can’t deny total access to the only restaurant on the property.
It’s really quite simple... either treat all your guests equally or don’t offer rental properties within BC.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Bear Ridge! The weather was rainy and foggy but we did not mind. The house is very well appointed and had the best equipped kitchen we have seen in our travels. The covered porch was perfect to sit with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and listen to the sound of the rain. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms very clean and well appointed. The décor was "beary" nice and warm and inviting, We recommend this home to anyone and would stay again in a heartbeat. The only drawback was the gas grill was not in working order and we had planned a Saturday night cookout. But, other than that, all was great! Thank you for opening your mountain retreat to us for a weekend get-a-way.
