  • Great 3 bedroom ranch home in Johnson City
    5 of 5

I'll start out stating that when we need lodging in Johnson City, TN again, we'll be reaching out to Chuck to book this location. What's so great about the location you ask? Well, to begin with, the 2 living areas in the ranch home gave my family options during our stay. Even though we were technically on vacation, each of us had a bit of work to be completed and there was room to do without sitting on a bed. When there was competing TV viewing desires they were easily accommodated as there are multiple TVs in the house. The 3 bedrooms were comfy, the bathrooms had more than enough towels, the kitchen had all the basics covered plus a nice surprise assortment of treats/beverages/quick snacks at the ready to use before we made it to the grocery store. The washer/dryer was greatly appreciated as we came back soaked from getting caught in a rain shower on the golf course. The location was easy in and easy out. AND.... Chuck was easy to reach and quick to respond to requests. We had a terrific stay!

  • NIcely done. A few suggestions...

The unit is well decorated. It’s small, but cozy and efficient. It was a cold, wet weekend (unfortunately we left our ski gear at home due to the weather). Upon walking in, the unit was very cold. It had more than likely not been occupied for a while. The floors were like ice and there were no instructions on how to turn the heat on. Luckily, we flipped some switches and we figured it out ourselves. Point being, it would have been nice had someone done a “start up” heat process in anticipation of our arrival, and provided some detailed instructions on the heat situation. The heat is vented on one wall, so the bathroom gets the least amount of heat. Also, the water line to the kitchen sink was off. Again, we searched and found the valve and turned it on. So again, a little attention to an arriving guest would have made things a bit less stressful when we arrived. Unfortunately, there were no dish towels, nor wash cloths for the bath whatsoever. This small complimentary touch would have been greatly appreciated. The dead bolt to the entry door is badly in need of replacement. It did not work and made us a bit nervous when only able to lock the door knob. The complex as a whole is a bit rundown, but decent. The deck stairs, concrete landings and walkways have been renovated. The old aluminum exterior siding is lacking and in need of a good pressure wash, but overall for a ski town, it’s not a big deal. I must stress that our review is meant constructively. This is a nice, cozy unit and very nice for a weekend mountain getaway for two.
