Our stay Seneca Cottage was fantastic. It’s in a fabulous location with amazing views of Seneca Lake and offered all the modern comforts of home without losing its cozy charm. The cottage was a perfect place to help unwind from all the holiday hustle and fun place to be when ringing in 2019! We really loved the hot tub which our daughter called perfectly delightful and we loved the cottage overall!
This home is in a fantastic location! Close enough to town, yet far enough away to offer a quiet, relaxing vacation on the lake. The views are second to none and enjoyable from inside and out, upstairs or down. The wrap around deck was one of my favorite features. Looking for any excuse to exercise, I must say the steps down to the lake were also something I enjoyed. The floor plan was ideal for our 2 couple stay, giving everyone their own space, their own floor, and their own full bath. We found everything we needed in the well equipped kitchen, and I was thankful for the quality pots and pans. Looking for a reason to be outside with the views, and utilize the fantastic deck, we cooked BBQ the first night there on the gas grill. This home is smartly and comfortably decorated with a touch of nautical, and a tinge of pottery barn; everything you need, and nothing you don’t. Sunrise with coffee (or tea!) whether at the dining room table, or on the cozy couch was a sight to behold. The boathouse and dock look like a fun place to be in the warmer weather (we went in October) was yet another space to watch the sun rising or setting and we enjoyed the lanterns that lite the way down at night. Barbara (the owner), was friendly and quick to reply to all my questions before, and during our stay. The positives far outweighed the negatives, but for an honest, all around review I would add that updated bathrooms would make this stay even better, and perhaps hardwoods on the lower level. Our favorite restaurant turned out to be a little Italian place called Prosecco’s in nearby Farmington.
