  • Uninterrupted Empty Paradise

WOW..... what more can I honestly say? From the moment I booked the rental to physically arriving all of my questions were seamlessly answered and any worries I had instantly dissipated with the phenomenal and punctual contact with the Hosts. The house is breathtaking, photos don’t do it justice. The water is a beautiful cerulean hue of blue that’s bathtub warm and very inviting. Some days it’s glassy calm like lake water and others there’s a little waves, nothing crazy and there isn’t an intense current like on other Bahamian islands like Eleuthera. The house is set to a perfect 74 degrees and the upstairs views of the beach out of the master bedroom are spectacular. The beach was completely empty every single day, I would rarely see maybe a local or two hundreds of yards out only for a few moments. I could literally lounge on the beach all day and have it all to myself. You’re only about 500 feet down the road from a liquor store and a convenience store and everyone is more than happy to help you with whatever you’re purchasing. Everything moves on “island time,” which is perfect for someone looking to relax and get away from it all! The locals love to gather at the liquor store after 4ish PM to have drinks and gather around, it’s a great time to visit and spark conversation! The amnemities at the house were spot on, oversized fridge, a wonderful blender for margaritas and daiquiris and breathtaking views of the ocean practically anywhere you look in the house! We rented Kayaks for the duration of the trip that were delivered on our 2nd day with no delivery fee, we kayaked to the three sisters rocks and I got to touch two of them which was amazing, you can literally see to the bottom the water is amazingly clear! You can kayak to Duck island if you’re more advanced kayaker which boasts a beautiful pinkish white sand beach from the surrounding pink rocks that the ocean eats away at, with the most beautiful sapphire blue calm water comparable to Turks & Caicos Grace Bay in clarity and warmth. All of the locals were so friendly and genuine, we had 30 minute access either way to amazing beaches and was set perfectly on the middle of the island. We stayed in June and it didn’t rain a single day, the first day there was a little sprinkle that only hit a small area which was dream like. There were zero mosquitos and no see-ums from the constant warm breeze of the trade winds. Everything seemed like a daydream & we’ll be back!

  • Great property - perfect for our needs!

We stayed in Luquillo for two weeks in June. The property is a very short walk (1/2 block) to our favorite beach in Luquillo. My daughter nicknamed Playa Azul "Soft Sand Coconut Beach", which describes it perfectly. The location can't be beat. The air conditioners in each bedroom and the living room were very effective for keeping the place cool and comfortable. The washer and dryer were full-size and very nice to have in the unit. The condo is spacious and well appointed. The sofa bed downstairs is surprisingly comfortable and the condo had everything we needed. We experienced a broken pipe on the front porch while we were there. It was a Sunday afternoon and we couldn't reach the property manager, but since water was running down the street, we called the owners. They quickly got us in touch with the property manager, who came out and temporarily plugged the pipe. We were there another week and they never made it out to do a proper repair and make the hose usable again. There were other little maintenance issues - the refrigerator or freezer leaks periodically, so we would frequently find a puddle of water on the floor in the kitchen, the lint screen on the dryer is coming apart and needs to be replaced, the accordion door for the utility closet kept falling off, etc. These things didn't bother me because I knew that we were getting a great deal on a place to stay in Puerto Rico and I realize that if every little thing were perfect, the owners would need to charge quite a bit more for the property. The only real negative about the property was the extremely low water pressure. You really can't take two showers at the same time, or shower and laundry, or laundry and dishes. It got a little frustrating with 8 of us in the unit, going to the beach everyday. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place!
