  • Perfect Carmel Getaway

So many wonderful aspects to this rental- where to begin?! To start, Serenbe felt like coming home. It's charming, warm, picturesque and just all around lovely. The location is wonderful, quaint Carmel neighborhood, but minutes walking distance from a busting shopping and restaurant strip, and also walking distance to the gorgeous beach! The decor inside is so well done, you don't feel like you're in a vacation rental, you feel like you're in your own wonderful home away from home. The kitchen is really well stocked to cook in, which we did quite a few times, and also experienced some amazing restaurants in town. I really enjoyed all of the artwork and photography in this home, too, was unique/worldly and beautiful. Other features we enjoyed were two fireplaces inside the home and another fireplace in the private back area with a table and chairs that makes for a cozy and romantic setting for wine and apps or a meal, too. There were two of us here, but definitely seems large enough for multiple couples or families- honestly would love to go back with more people, also! On top of the fantastic home and amenities, the weather was great, and we really enjoyed all of the offerings the location had to offer. We did some hiking in Big Sur, wine tasting in Carmel Valley, massages and an entire day of relaxing at Refuge Day Spa, felt like locals in the downtown area on Main Street steps from the home, and really enjoyed simply walking the neighborhood to the beach, and little trails minutes from the home, too. Whoever owns this home, well done and thank you so much for the amazing stay. Memories for a lifetime.

  • Lovely house at Carmel-by-the-Sea

Our family of 6 stayed at David's house during the Christmas break for 6 days. It is a beautiful and spacious house with garden in front and back and ample parking. The garden behind the house has an orange and a pummelo tree. The skylights made the house very bright and cheery during the day and you could gaze at stars at night sitting inside the house, which was a unique experience. The house was very clean and ample clean linen was available. Small post-its were stuck everywhere to guide us around the house. The fridge and kitchen were well stocked. There was a good collections of books on various topics and also magazines including National Geographic. They had also put up a Christmas tree/lights and had left us a Christmas cake and sweets to welcome us. Overall the house was warm and comfortable and had all the amenities one would need. Thank you David and Debbie for a great stay!
