This house was exactly what we needed for our week long stay in Sydney! We stayed there with our 4 children (ages 8mo, 4, 7, 9). The house is steps away from the Powerhouse Museum (free entry for the kids and has a fun outdoor playground), an *amazing* meat pie shop, and close walking distance to tons of things to see & do in Sydney. We walked to the aquarium, opera house, circular quay, The Rocks, and more. We also really enjoyed the public pool less than 2 blocks away - with a fun leisure pool for the kids, lap swim and a very warm teaching pool. The kids loved it so much & it was such a great break from busy touring, that we went multiple times.
As for the facilities, the house was cozy and fit our needs perfectly. We were able to relax in the family room together and watch movies in the evenings - and cook meals in the kitchen. The only tiny downside was the steep stairs to the second floor. But we secured them with the baby gate to keep the smaller children off them, and as long as no one wore socks up/down, we had no trouble staying safe.
I highly recommend this property and would absolutely stay there again. The host was kind and very responsive, providing everything we needed for our stay.
THANK YOU, for being our home away from home during our week's vacation in Sydney!
The bottom-line question about any short-term rental is: Would it be your first choice as the place to stay if you come back? In this case, the answer is an unqualified and enthusiastic "yes."
Pyrmont is its own neighborhood, with shops, cafes, restaurants, pharmacies, a supermarket and plenty of local color, but it's conveniently walkable to Darling Harbor and Sydney's city center. (Don't like to walk? Taxis and Uber respond quickly and efficiently.)
The apartment is clean and comfortable, with good temperature control, water pressure (plenty of hot water) and appliances -- including the washer/dryer combo, the reliable WiFi and the LG smart HD TV. (If you subscribe to Netflix or Amazon Prime Video, you can log in for the length of your stay.)
The views of Blackwattle Bay and the Anzac Bridge from the apartment's balconies are impressive. Watching the sun set with a glass of wine in hand is a restful treat after a long day of touring.
This apartment is a delight -- and we would stay there again without a moment's hesitation.
