My wife and I, along with another couple, traveled to Denver for the Cubs versus Rockies series this past week and we stayed three nights at this Sunnyside neighborhood property.
The house, a beautiful little brick house from a time when things were simpler, is in a quiet residential neighborhood within an easy walk to and from Coor's Field for baseball games. In fact, we parked our vehicles and took to pedestrian travel as soon as we checked in.
During our stay we enjoyed walking to breakfast at The Universal one morning, a light brunch and coffee at the Cherry Bean Coffee on another morning, and on our departure morning we wandered to downtown for a decadent breakfast at Sam's Number 3. Wandering downtown reminded us as to why we chose to rent this VRBO in a quiet, well kept, residential neighborhood.
During our stay we also made stops at the Highland Tavern and Prost Brewery while coming and going from Coor's Field. How handy they were to be on our route!
In addition to the great location, we were also allowed to have our two house dogs stay with us. We did kennel/crate one of our dogs, a nine month old that has not earned our trust, but it was great to travel with him and to take daily morning walks through the neighborhoods of the area.
In regard to the house, it is nice, simple, and comfortable, just like home. For three nights it was our "home" away from home.
In this "home" we especially enjoyed the fenced in backyard where we could have morning coffee and afternoon/evening beverages while the dogs ran around being taunted by the squirrels that run the show in the trees and wanted to let the dogs know who was the guest and who was the owner of their "wild" domain.
We did not cook anything during our stay, but the kitchen set up is ready for meal cooking and the dinner table is ready for the serving of a meal!
If you are looking for a "home" to stay in near downtown, without the downtown issues, this Sunnyside "home" is a great place to stay!
Thank you, Rachel, for renting to us!
