As a third-time visitor to Aruba, I knew exactly the area where I wanted to stay...lovely and less crowded Eagle Beach. The condo was only a brief walk to the beach (less than 1/4-mile and only a few minutes walking) and there was a great multi-section pool at the Pearl Condo community that many used to swim and sunbathe. There were little children up to retirees staying there, yet the The Pearl Condo community was always fairly quiet and relaxing. The on-site staff was very helpful also, allowing us to store our luggage after checking out of the condo due to our late flight.
The condo was lovely! It was clean and well decorated, had all you could need appliance and cookware wise (I don't believe in cooking on vacation, so we only used the glasses :-)), had a great air conditioning system, had a comfortable bed, and even a nice little balcony with a view of the lovely common area (if you lean out a bit you look right at the pool). There were beach towels and chairs (not loungers) as well as a mini-cooler, which was perfect for our daily short walks to hang out in the sun and sand on Eagle Beach.
Danielle gave great communication leading up to and at the start of our trip. Everything was such a breeze that we needed no assistance/while we were there!
Another great piece about the condo was the on-site The Clover Minimarket and the lovely woman who worked there. We had amazing and healthy smoothies there when we were looking for something lighter for breakfast. The market is small but has all you might need in a pinch to avoid going to the market/another store (milk, beer, bread, other food, suntan lotion, sunglasses, swimwear, etc.). There was also a nice, relaxing bar and restaurant on site that we frequented late into the evening after a day of enjoying the rest of the island.
We will definitely be returning to Aruba to stay in the Eagle Beach area, and we will definitely check to see if this condo is available first!
Thank you so much, Danielle!
We have used VRBO, Homeaway and FlipKey for many trips in many different locations and it is rare when the actual property is better than what is described in the photos, but I’m pleased to say that this was the case with this house. This is also the third house I have rented in Aruba, and it is head and shoulders above the previous two rentals.
The owners met us at the house when we arrived and showed us around, and then came to the house on our departure day and even helped us pack up the car. The house was in immaculate condition and the few issues we encountered were quickly addressed by the owners. One of the air conditioner units failed and was replaced on the first business day after letting them know.
The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses etc, as well as a nice tin of holiday cookies for our arrival. We cooked in most nights and enjoyed grilling steak and fresh fish on the outdoor grill and then dining outside on the teak dining room table. We spent a few nights on the back patio by the pool watching the meteor shower, which was a nice bonus.
The bedding was new and comfortable, and towels and linens were all new, much like an upscale hotel. My family was comprised of my wife and I, two single adult children, and my married daughter, son in law and 9-month-old baby. There was plenty of room for all 7 of us, both outside on patio and inside in the livingroom, which had a massive flat screen TV with Netflix. There was also a nice dining room table in the kitchen area (although we ate most meals outside). Given that we were on the baby’s schedule, having all of this space was very beneficial.
New beach chairs and towel were provided, but be aware that they are not the reclining type. There was also a wheeled cooler to take with you to the beach which we used every day to pack lunch and snacks.
The location was perfect, being a few blocks from Superfood (the major grocery store) and Mermaid Divers, which I used for a two-tank dive with my son, also highly recommended, Carlos and Wendy were both awesome. As a nature photographer, it was also across the street from the Bubali Bird Sanctuary, which made it easy to be there at sunrise and sunset for the best photo ops. It is only a few minutes away from Eagle and Palm beach, but with my granddaughter we ended up driving the extra 10 min to go to Arashi beach, which was quitter and offers much better snorkeling.
