This is a wonderful house for those who can walk a bit on the public accesses (4 different ones) to get to the water. And it was great to have a golf cart to ride to the accesses. We had fun decorating it for the Parade on the 4th. It was a short walk to the pool/ exercise room.
This beautifully decorated house accommodated all13 (6 adults and 7 children under14) of us comfortably, including our baby grand-daughter with a port-a-crib. Kitchen items were sufficient for in-house meal preps. Wish I had taken one of my cheese cutters.:^) It was nice to have some common condiments and spices that "only a dab will do." Everyone thought the beds were wonderful!! Having beach towels available was nice, along with the abundant linens.
Being right on the inlet offered daily views of ospreys, alligators, and other beach birds, as well as many mosquitoes and "no see 'ems"! If we come again in the summer, we would bring LOTS of bug spray! The sunsets were amazing as God drew a different stunning scene each night!
The decks around the house and on 2 levels offered plenty of outdoor seating and quiet places to rest or read or take in the scenery.
It is a quick drive to Hunting Island which we did several days, to get sharks' teeth, see the Light House and the piles of driftwood. Kayaking and paddle-boarding was easy there. Even saw some dolphins jumping in the distance.
The best thing about the location is that the beach areas are not crowded, even on the 4th of July for the Salute from the Shore. Even though there were only 3 planes, it was a great time to thank God for our country..Land of the free and the home of the brave.
Enjoyed our stay. Comfortable, well-kept place with new furnishings and no decorative clutter (like seaside figurines, cute sayings, strange wall hangings—we sadly have been there, done that!). Thoughtful extras like sand and pool toys, bikes. Small kitchen but nicely equipped. A great getaway!
