Just a short drive into Fairbanks and right near the pipeline viewing area. Deck with grill and fire pit was the perfect way to relax after adventure during the day. Had everything we needed at the property!
If you are looking for a place to stay in Alaska, this is it! My husband and I came up from San Antonio, Texas to attend my sister’s graduation from nursing school beginning of May; we decided to stay a total of 4 days in North Pole (with family) and the rest within this adorable cottage! John and Frythe were the most amazing hosts for providing anything we needed, from firewood to varying kitchen utensils (we’re chefs) to all the great knowledge about gardening and living in this beautiful state; the cottage is stocked with all the extra linens, pillows, and laundry detergent you could want/need (early spring is really muddy)! Highly recommend utilizing the open kitchen, eating out gets pricey (over $10+ a head)! I loved watching the Riverboat sail by as I sat on the porch drinking coffee; we even got to see the northern lights from there too! Fairbanks is spread out, but the landscape is gorgeous, get a rental vehicle that can grip off-road and you will fall in love like we did! We are already planning our return trip for wintertime, surprisingly there is so much to do in Fairbanks, we ran out of time! We will definitely be staying here again!
