My husband, two young adult daughters and their boyfriends stayed at the Orchard for three nights in late May. We have been staying at vacation rental properties, from Germany to Costa Rica, for almost 20 years. This property was my favorite, and that is saying a lot.
If you are traveling to ONP with a large group to see the beaches and the rainforest, rent this property.
It was immaculately clean and well stocked. It had everything we wanted, and things we didn’t even know we wanted, like giant Jenga, s’more supplies, and a boot dryer. The property was beautiful. We even decided to scratch one of the beaches off of our itinerary, so we could spend more time at this lovely cabin. We played croquet and corn hole. I brought a hammock with me, and strung it up between two trees for an afternoon nap. My husband wandered through the woods. In the evening, we had a campfire and watched deer wander through the yard.
The cabin is only 10 minutes to the Second Beach trailhead, and about an hour to the Hoh rainforest. It is not far from Forks, which has a good grocery store. There’s also a gas station and convenience store very close by.
If I were going to plan our trip to Washington again, I would have stayed in this cabin for an extra day or two.
