We stayed at the Hydro apartment for 5 nights. It was wonderful! Muzzy was very thoughtful and stocked things in the pantry and the fridge for us so we didn't have to do grocery right away. He was very responsive to all our queries and super helpful. The apartment is conveniently located near the SECC, and also within walking distance to city centre and many local attractions. We walked everywhere. The kids had lots of fun playing with the Alexa system in the house. Overall, we had a wonderful time in Glasgow. Thank you Muzzy!
If you're looking for super fancy, this isn't the place for you. If you're looking to get a taste what it's like to live in a Scottish flat, this will definitely fill the bill. This flat is clean and bright. Plenty of hot water. Washing machine is also a dryer, but I've found the drying power of such dual machines not so hot (pun intended). There is a lovely, big clothes line in the backyard; you'll find clothespins under the sink. Great WiFi. You'll find sugar, tea, coffee, and oil in the cupboard--no need to buy those things when you won't be using much of any of them. The kitchen is equipped for making simple meals. Nearby dining options: a GREAT Italian restaurant (La Casa) a 2 block walk away. Their food is excellent! There is also a Chinese restaurant and a little market that same convenient walk away.
We found the best/fastest/cheapest way to get into Glasgow City Center is by Network Car (Uber). It was less than taking the bus for the 4 of us. Call and a driver is there quickly to pick you up and take you exactly where you want to go. They do airport pickup/delivers, too. The train station is a short walk. Quiet neighborhood. Got a wonderful night's sleep every night of our stay. I'd definitely stay there again. The owners are super easy to reach by phone or email.
