  • House Close to Everything with Owner who thought of Everything!

First off, owner Mary is a delight to deal with. Her responses are always prompt, helpful and cheerful. We normally rent a hotel in New Paltz but decided to go VRBO. Her home is warm and beautifully decorated with lots of books! Kitchen is fully appointed with the best appliances and staples. The place is super clean (and I'm pretty OCD with that). Bathrooms are contemporary with plenty of deluxe soaps, shampoos, lotions, fluffy towels and even robes. Bedrooms have luxury linens. She even had a basket of sunscreens and bugs sprays! It was nice to run a load of laundry before leaving, so we didn't have to pack dirty clothes. Door-to-door, her home is 15 minutes to the Mohonk Mountain House. Perhaps my only suggestion, not a complaint, is blinds; house windows have sheers only, so you certainly can be up with the sun. That certainly wouldn't stop me from visiting again! Great and relaxing weekend.

This is the second year we have rented the Orchard House for our annual girls get a way. We have found the property to be extremely well maintained and the owners go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Excellent communication in regards to booking and checking in and out. Picturesque log home on well groomed grounds with a pond and 2 trails behind the property. Lots of usable outside space to enjoy dinner or drinks on the deck. We utilized the kitchen and the outdoor grill this year so we could enjoy the property and we had everything we needed to enjoy gourmet meals each day. Bedrooms were comfortable and had extra blankets/pillows if needed available. Upstairs bath has a soaking jetted tub and the downstairs bath has a multi flow shower both were great to feel clean and relaxed after a long day of walking. Location is short distance from New Paltz where we enjoyed wineries, breweries, and just the scenery in general. Thank you for your hospitality Ed and Veronica, we will be back next year!
