We enjoyed a long weekend at this cottage nestled in the woods. Our family enjoys cooking, dining, hiking and relaxing together and it was perfect for us.
We loved reading the welcome letter and that led us to the Appalachian trail hike on our first day; the trail was so close and immersed us in nature right away. The cottage is an easy drive from NYC and is so serene that we felt as if we were “out in the country”. We loved the mountains and views of the river.
The cottage is beautifully decorated; we especially like the artwork and personal details. Simple things like beautifully scented hand soap and crisp linens made the weekend that much more relaxing. It’s just as pictured with so much light and gorgeous hardwood floors that reaffirms why renting a home is so much better than staying in sterile hotel rooms. One of us was relaxing the kitchen nook with tea while the other was looking up a hike at Constitution Marsh Audubon Center along the river.
We had wine and cheese, breakfast and played games in the lovely dining room and enjoyed a late night Rummikub game in the living room. The whole place is cozy and classy.
Dining was nearby: we had dinner at Brasserie Le Bouchon and Cathryn’s Tuscan Grill, lunch at Dolly’s as well as a picnic at the riverfront park in Cold Spring.
We wished that we stayed here a week as we could have enjoyed the outdoor space and explored the area even more. We highly recommend Yulin Cottage.
Great location to town. Quiet block with nice helpful neighbor across the street . Comfortable master bedroom and nice spa like bathroom with great water pressure and hot water! Owner available to answer questions and flexible check in/out . Nice big kitchen table. Gas stove was great.
