We rented this home for 1 week at the end of June/beginning of July this year with another couple with whom we travel frequently. Ms. Krallis family's multi-level home is located on the south west-facing hill above Molyvos harbor. On the upper floor are located 3 wonderful bedrooms, with large (very quiet) ceiling fans and excellent very quiet AC units (outside) as well as a full bathroom and small stove/refrigerator. The 'master' bedroom has a 2 French doors to large patio that looks out on the Aegean that is easily seen from bed. Another bedroom opens to the same patio. Downstairs is a separate bathroom & shower, an amazing & very well-equipped kitchen, living room and patio with dining table that overlooks the private pool, Aegean sea, Molyvos Harbor and if desired mechanical awnings. Across a path that leads down to steps and a very large and deep "infinity pool" is a herb garden and large gas bar-b-q.
The pool is amazing and very refreshing. There's also outdoor and downstairs showers as well as bathroom near the pool. In the shallow area there's an alcove with benches and very strong jets. Just what the doctor ordered to aid tired sore feet!
The home is amazingly furnished with generations of fabulous antiques. Mariza's grandfather built this home in 1926; her family were the first to settle this area of Lesbos many generations back. She's an amazing hostess who provided us upon our arrival with a jar of her homemade peach reserves, a jar of Chestnut Blossom honey (in response to a simple inquiry of mine asking if it were available in the area) as well as arranging for a local massage therapist to visit with us the next morning. Her mom, who speaks no English, but is fluent in French was always available and friendly. We will return! I'm somewhat conflicted abut writing such a stellar review, fearing that someone may rent this home before we have a chance to return for 2 weeks in Sep/Oct 2020.
Our 3 week stay could not have been better. The location is great. Waking up to the harbor view, smells of fresh air and quiet surroundings added to the ambience of this traditional Greek home.
Our home owners were so warm and welcoming.
This was our first visit to Molyvos and the island of Lesvos. This trip exceeded our expectations. Definitely would return.
Thank you Sophia, Apostolis, Niko and Kostas
