We did this as a very last minute Spring Break excursion, and despite the fact that it stormed just about the entire time we were there, we were happy and cozy nestled up in this cabin the whole time! The house was stocked with games, facepaints, dvds, firewood, and everything we needed to make a fun day cooped up! We even roasted marshmellows inside! We did enjoy some time in the yard and added a fairy house, so keep an eye out kids! The fairies came to visit us our last night there! The cabin is beautifully decorated with just enough charm to make it warm, while still remaining clean and free of clutter! A true oasis! Thanks so much, we can’t wait to visit again.
Sincerely, The Moore Fam Bam
This was our 8th visit to the Black Mountain, Asheville, Chimney Rock area. This was our first stay at this lovely cabin. We enjoyed our stay and were well aware of how windy NC9 is so be prepared if you are not used to driving such a winding road.
It rained a lot during our stay but we still enjoyed sitting in the enclosed back porch to listen to the lovely sounds of the creek. The master bedroom is huge and so is the bathroom. The kitchen is large with tons of counter space and opens up into the living room. We loved the fact that we had a washer and dryer available.
We shopped at Ingles. We enjoyed biscuits from The Blue Ridge Biscuit Company. BBQ from 12 Bones and Nashville Hot Chicken from Rocky's which were both in Arden. Asheville is a fun town to visit but you can get stuck in a lot of traffic. Chimney Rock, Saluda, Marion, Black Mountain and Old Fort also had sights and shopping. We just love the mountains and enjoy hiking. Lots of spots in the area. Enjoy!
