This was a great little cabin! It appears deceivingly small on the outside, but quite spacious on the inside. The two bedrooms were perfect and there was even plenty of space for our dog crate in the dining room. The cabin is well stocked, with the plush towels making me feel like I was at a fancy hotel instead of a cabin in the middle of the woods! WiFi was great! And the communication from the cabin owner was second to none! Very quickly responsive and accommodating! I highly recommend any place this owner has for rent! The water pressure was phenomenal! Better than mine at home! The bonfire area was nice and the kids enjoyed a paddle boat ride! My husband made use of the kayak and said the Lake was gorgeous! I appreciated having the life jackets accessible, and even the animal water bowl/system! As strange as it sounds, that was such a blessing to us! Another highlight was the dog cable outside. We brought a tie out with us, but didn’t need to use it as there was a better option already set in place! Our kids also enjoyed playing some of the games in the cabin. They were ones we don’t have so new and very exciting for them! The only downfall is that we didn’t have enough time to enjoy it as much as we wanted to! Next time we want to be able to stay much longer. This was “home base” for us as we went off exploring during the daytime up to Keweenaw Peninsula all the way to Copper Harbor and then down to Porcupine Mountains! The area is very dog friendly! So for those traveling with their furry kids, this is a great place to come! On our way out of town back to the lower peninsula we stopped at Canyon Falls. A must see for the hiker who loves rock and waterfalls! Also a great place to take the dogs. A clean crick area as you enter and leave for dogs to drink and cool off.
