Driving into the little town of Los Alamos was such a relaxed feeling. Stepping into Brooke’s house was amazing, like someone actually lives there not just a house for all your left over furniture from 40 years ago. The bedding was amazing, kitchen fully stocked, garage with 5 bikes and a lovely back yard with a huge tree for shade. Property was very private not on top of neighbors. I picked this house because of the open concept so everyone could be together, it was perfect. Would definitely stay here again!
We were a relatively large group of adults and children and found this to be the perfect spot to stay together, with plenty of room and amenities for all. Each family had their own bathroom, and there was an enclosed den that was perfect for the kids to watch movies in at night or for one of us to sneak in to during the day to find enough privacy and quiet to facilitate emergency work needs. The pool and setting were gorgeous. Everything worked perfectly. The lounge areas were exceedingly comfortable and accommodated large groups to gather together with plenty of room to spare. There were many unexpected touches, such as heat lamps on the back patio that made this a lovely spot at which to stay up and talk to friends on a cool spring night. Beautiful grounds -I especially loved the grassy area next to the pool. This was a perfect spot for laying out. My only complaint is that for the price and perfection of everything else about this place, I did find the kitchen amenities to be somewhat disappointing. It was difficult to find basic items for cooking for a large group, such as normal size mixing bowls or large pots, or tongs for the grill. If doing this again I would take more supplies from home for the kitchen. My one other bit of concern was the Internet and cell service - for AT&T subscribers, cell service was all but nonexistent (others with Verizon did not have this problem), and the Wifi in the house did not work well on my cell phone and was generally spotty. But all in all it was a wonderful place to spend a few days (and we all wished we could have stayed longer!)
