A fantastic place for the price. The apartment is exactly as described- comfortable and contemporary.
Location: Easy to find, 7 minute drive from the airport. There is a Whole Foods 5 mins away. The neighborhood is nice for walking. Orange Theory (my favorite)- was right down the street. You are able to park right in front of property. The landscaping is lovely- fountains and green lawns- provide a nice retreat from the busy road.
Accommodations: Clean, bright, comfortable. Pretty much every amenity you would need or want- they even included baking supplies. Super comfortable bed and couch. It is a stand-alone apartment with a private entrance providing an extremely quiet distraction free zone for working or relaxing. Didn’t have any issues staying connected- wifi worked great. The apartment is on the second floor- be prepared to walk up a flight of stairs.
Hosts- Pat and Michelle are more than helpful, they are extremely knowledgeable about San Jose and the unique property that the apartment is part of. They will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and taken care of.
I would highly recommend this space, especially for long term housing.
This apartment was well-appointed, well-cared for, and surprisingly, convenient. Menlo Anton is a new apartment complex located between the 101 expressway and the lower San Francisco Bay. On the map it looks like getting there and back could be daunting. In fact, you are one minute from an intersection with your choice of routes into Menlo Park/Palo Alto, the 101 freeway entrance, or the Dumbarton Bridge to the East Bay. The San Jose airport is less than 20 minutes away.
The apartment had a modern, pleasant layout and all of the amenities you would expect. The kitchen was extensive, the bed was comfortable, and there was ample storage. And four days in "my own" apartment cost the same as a day and a half at the Palo Alto Sheraton on my last trip to the area.
The only hiccup was getting into the building the first day we arrived. The building entry code did not work (we weren't the only ones who had this problem). The property management was apologetic and assured me that the problem would be addressed for future guests.
We plan to use this place again for future travel to the Bay area.
