Good location between downtown and La Jolla, the house is great, small but with 3 rooms 2 full bath. The con is that the mats and sofas were full of dog hair, this was unpleasant!

Our group of 7 were often joined by SD family of 4 for festive and other dinners. The kitchen appliances, cutlery, pots and pans allowed us to serve and enjoy our meals set at an improvised table for all 11. We ate most of our meals here. The beds in the house were comfortable and the bedding was excellent. We put an extra bed in the casita and both were OK, but not great. Towels, extra blankets, and pillows were clean and plentiful. 4 of our group made good use of the surf boards in the garage and rented wet suits. Non had surfed before but all were able to ride a few waves at the end of the holiday. The TVs and WiFi worked well. Good use was made of the supplied Netflix. We celebrated the birth of 2019 for 2 hours around the outdoor fireplace. We enjoyed the indoor fireplaces and the heaters supplied in the house and casita. The location was good for getting to beaches, restaurants, shopping, golf courses, and other attractions. Beaches were withih easy walking distance, Parking on the driveway was good for our midsize sedan and 7-seater SUV but you often had to be very patient to get back onto the road. It was just a minor inconvenience. The barbecue burners should be replaced or repaired, although with great care we did use it successfully. All-in-all the rental lived up to our expectations and we would return there without reservation. The security deposit was back in my account a few days after we checked out. Thank you Kevin for this wonderful accommodation. .
