  • Perfect Family Getaway
    5 of 5

Our Family (total 6) stayed here between Christmas and New Year's. Everything was fantastic: Clean, spacious, comfortable, warm and cozy with natural gas fireplaces upstairs and down. The home comes with a spacious, open kitchen equipped with every pot, pan, knife, cooking utensil, you could possibly need - with a dishwasher for easy clean up. Also, we didn't need to use it but it is worth noting that the home comes with a washer and dryer. Waking up to the lake views was a real highlight as we sipped coffee and watched deer run by. The downstairs movie theatre (complete with a collection of Blu Rays, DVDs, and access to Netflix) was a hit and we watched family movies together, all three nights. The house provided canoe made for a memorable morning ride on the lake with my two boys. In addition, Yosemite was only an hour drive away and made for the perfect day trip. There is a grocery store near by to stock up on food and drinks. It is close enough to make a run for that one needed or forgotten item. Another plus was that everyone in town was extremely welcoming and very nice. I have to mention that the communication between the owner and property manager was A+++. I recieved instant responses to any little question via text day or night. The kids did not want to leave this place. Our only hope is to return in the Summer. There is a full size Bocce ball court in the yard over looking the lake, nice BBQ, ping pong table, and a tree swing for the kids. This place really lives up its description.

  • Enjoyable mini vacation
    4 of 5

The house is located very close to the beach which is very convenient, we spent time swimming and sunbathing every day. Deck is spacious and has trees around so it was very nice to have a meal there, read a book or have a conversation, very peaceful and relaxing. We watched deer pass by many times, sometimes with babies. The cabin is unique, you feel like you are in another world, close to nature. There could be a couple of drawbacks for some people: 1) no tv in the living/dining area, which was fine for us since we were spending more time outside, but I imagine during winter people would stay more inside and tv would be good to have. However, as a substitute, there is a nice fireplace for winter time (we did not use it in summer); 2) there is no dishwasher - again, no problem for us but some people might not be ok with it; 3) there is no a/c and central heat - portable fans and heaters only; for us the weather was ok so no problem, but I imagine that depending on the time of the year some might feel uncomfortable; 4) no soup spoons - minor inconvenience. But over all the cabin is amazing, was ready for us on time, the beds were clean. Linda was great, sent us all information way ahead of time, and was very responsive to questions. We really had an amazing time and would definitely come back.
