  • Cozy, well stocked home in downtown Brevard
    4 of 5

I'll start with the good since there was much of it. The home is small, but very cozy for a couple who wants to enjoy Brevard and the nearby forests and trails. The home has many essentials for those who want to cook while staying there, like pots, pans, olive oil, salt and pepper, a Kuerig and coffee pods. The property manager and owner were very nice and quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Overall I was very happy with the house and my dealings with everyone involved. The only downsides to the home were the TV, which would not connect to the internet despite numerous attempts at resetting the router, restarting the TV, and even doing a factory reset. The weather was terrible while we were visiting so watching TV was pretty high on our list of ways to kill some time and relax, so this was disappointing. I wound up going down the street to WalMart to buy an HDMI cord so I could stream from my laptop onto the TV. This worked well so I did not address the TV any further. The other bad thing was the dog hair. The home was quite clean at first glance, but as soon as you touched either the couch or bed your clothes were absolutely covered in hair from a short-haired dog with yellow-ish fur. I cannot overstate how much dog hair there was. I was feeling these hairs on my face and in my nose, as well and seeing them on every article of clothing that touched another fabric surface. Not a dealbreaker for me, but if you've got even a slight dander allergy I would reconsider this listing. All in all, pretty great place! If you make sure to bring alternate entertainment and a lint roller you'll be good to go!
