You cannot beat the location of this cottage in Whitstable. It is right on the beach near the Neptune Pub. It is charmingly decorated and was perfect for my best friend and I to share for 4 days. Jo was very friendly and prompt with her communication during the booking process and throughout our stay. Although it was perfect for us, it would not be everyone’s cup of tea. As people have already mentioned there is one bathroom that is located upstairs, which can only be accessed through one of the bedrooms. We knew this before our stay and it worked just fine for my friend and me. It should be mentioned that there is low head clearance in the shower so tall people will need to duck, while showering. The rustic charm which was endearing to us, may bother people who are looking for a more polished experience. Some of the furniture was worn and the door knobs were a bit wobbly. There is not a designated parking spot at the cottage. We were fortunate enough to get a spot about a block away. I think this is an issue for much of Whitstable, especially during high season. All said and done, we loved our stay in Whitstable and this sea cottage met our expectations and added to the overall experience.
Sheila and Stephen and great hosts with an amazing property. They have thought of everything you might need. The decor is tasteful and beautiful. The location is perfect....close to Canterbury, but far enough away so that you feel secluded and have privacy. We cannot wait to return!
