  • The Crag is the Gem of Barbados

Sure, you can stay down on the busy beach road with all the other tourists or you could rent a car and drive 10 minutes off the beaten path to a true island getaway. Forget about fretting about driving on the other side of the is really easy and you won't regret having you own car so you can venture out around the island and reel in all the other things that most won't see. You can visit secluded beaches, caves, and forests to name a few. The people of Barbados are wonderful and will help when you are lost (Download Barbados offline on Google Maps- Hint) They will always point you to the next best food joint! The Crag itself was fantastic! It was very quiet and comfy. After full days of exploring we spent most of the remaining evening hours outside swimming, bird watching and waiting for the monkeys to go crashing through the lush vegetation enveloping the Crag. If you want a bonus walk hike down the driveway and hop on the golf course path for an evening stroll. The Apes Hill golf course was alive with plants and animals. The house had eveything we needed. Additionally, when we had a question about the house and needed service Rebecca was quick to answer and got us in touch with the local caretakers whom responded immediately. Do not hesitate to stay at the Crag. We researched Barbados houses very hard and believe we made the right choice after our return home. Andy and Sara Freeland
