The house was great, especially the garage, having a new washer/dryer, very close to the beach, amazing shower! The TVs are very big but we were unable to stream netflix or anything else from the internet. Very comfortable bed. Really enjoyed the bikes. The house has been immaculately remodeled and is super clean. We ate out most of the time but the kitchen is very well stocked with cooking supplies. The immediate neighbors are nice. The surrounding neighborhood was very rough, we had not been to Venice Beach in over 20 years and were saddened by the homelessness and decay in the neighborhood. If you had to be in Venice Beach, we would definitely recommend staying here. Just be aware it is a very urban setting. There are lots of great restaurants & shops, we enjoyed walking to different coffee shops in the morning and the location was very convenient to Santa Monica and other near by beach towns, not to mention the airport. We didn't realize Venice Beach had become such a homeless meca, although we were never bothered by anyone and for the most part felt very safe. The beach is barely a 5 minute walk, although we were there for the "June gloom" and didn't have any sunny beach days for 5 days. The garage was a real bonus as there are a lot of people in the alleys and parking is a real issue.
