We enjoyed our stay. We had 8 people and everyone was able to sleep comfortably. The floor plan of the house was excellent. There is a beautiful patio overlooking the lake and a huge lawn to play corn hole. We also enjoyed the location right near the Burke Gilman Trail. There was a separate office room for privacy for anyone who needed to work, and we enjoyed the downstairs TV room to watch the NBA and US Open golf tournament.
The kitchen was well laid out and has all the appliances and utensils you need. We used the grill and they even provided an extra tank of propane in case it ran out.
The towels were amazing, and the beds comfortable. It was very clean and well maintained. Our hosts also provided everything we needed to get started in the morning – coffee and tea.
The only downside was the downstairs bathroom which should only be used by short people or kids due to the toilet raised on a platform causing the ceiling to be very low.
We highly recommend this place and would stay there again.
This Steel Lake cove is a beautiful hidden treasure for a relaxing retreat! Kathy, the host is very accommodating, stay in communication with her, she can respond quickly to your needs. The sounds of bullfrogs throughout the night were quite loud [breeding time] and our host claimed we brought a dog with us! Of course we did not, we do not even own a dog, but also our teething grandson did cry a lot so maybe that's what he sounded like, all in all, a very pleasant stay!
