We had an amazing stay over the 4th of July. The owner Michael was very nice, helpful, and easy to deal with from start to finish. The location of the house is great. It was an easy bike ride to the beach during the day and the Village for dinner at night, only about five minutes. We rented a boat and it was easy to navigate the canals to dock up at the house, only a short ride to the bay. The house provides a lot of entertainment between the pool table, pool, hammocks, and water access. There was a beach wagon, towels, and sun umbrellas for our use, which was nice not to have to pack.
We only had a couple minor complaints. First, the pool is made of fiberglass. The owner warned us of this in advance, but it caused our skin to itch/burn if we touched it. So stay away from the sides of the pool! (It didn't stop us from spending hours in the pool, and a cold rinse in the shower after getting out really seemed to help the issue). Second, we were unable the use the grill. The propane tank was empty and even with tools, we couldn't get it unhooked so that we could replace it. It was pretty much rusted on there. Maybe someone else will have better luck than we did getting it unhooked. But the kitchen is large so we just improvised and cooked our meat/fish on the stove. We only ever got one channel on the TV and it was in Spanish, but it had the World Cup playing, so we were happy because that's all we wanted to watch. Might have been user-error. There's a nice big TV, anyway! The hot tub is non-functional, but the owner was clear in advance that it does not work, so we expected that.
All in all, five stars! We would definitely stay again!
Perfect house with big rooms, wood terrace next to pool with salty water. Photos or description is not fake news :) Good location, but the car needed - we are there with kids, only first day we were walking to the beach. And Siesta key beach is top!
