Checked in with a girl, Rea, and she was fantastic throughout the entire stay. I would text her about the remote control at 10 at night and she would get back to me right away. I would text her about parking signs means in Split and she'd get back right away. Also dealt with Marina she's either the owner or presents the owner she was really good and helpful. Actually everybody we met in Croatia were pretty fantastic. We had a few issues with the house throughout the stay - which there will always be but this crew jumped on everything and tried to resolve it as fast as possible. I will go to the good first and then the few things we did not like. We go to Europe each year and rent a house like this each time. This house was extraordinary well stocked with everything you could imagine, proper wine glasses, decanter, kitchen machines and gadgets, bullets, blenders, coffemakers, kitchen dough baking machines.!!They included cases of wines - we drank none, a bit on the lower end side. We're wine snobs :-) If you're a regular drinker you're set. They also had a lot of hard liquor that they included, a complete bar with everything you can imagine. Good quality linens and towels and tons of spare towels for the pool, beach and showering. Houses is gated. The house felt for the most part like a high end house.....but here are a few things that I also did mention to the owner and hopefully they addressed it. The house feels too empty, there's basically nothing on the walls, a bit of a hospital vibe in that way. Or a newly built house not yet moved into. The house is built with nothing but concretet and wifi is pretty terribly, they have to find a solution for anyone having to check in with a business they might run while on vacation. A big house with a yard and pool, but zero toys, games, pool toys for a kid or family. Never have happened before to us. Right infront of the house is an industrial building - it's a full level below but if you open your bedroom curtian you're starring at them...or them at you. Please spend some money, buy a mature hedge. We had strong winds one night, metal panels on the roof slammed into the house and kept us up all night. Throughout the house there are unfinished things, holes in the wall in the master bath. No trays to put shampoo while in shower, so everything goes on the floor. No place to hang towels or toilet paper in any bathroom. All on the floor. Unfinished property. I felt the builder built over his skill level.
The villa in Split was perfect for our family of four. After a week of site seeing in central Europe the villa offered the relaxation near the sea that we were looking for. The property was beautiful with many flowers and outdoor amenities for the family. We spent our days swimming and cooking on the outdoor grill. The grocery store, mall and the city center were a short drive away. Gordon was a welcoming host. Would like to have stayed longer. Split is a lovely place to visit.
