The studio is functional but needs a bit of update. The area and the view is the best, that kind of makes up for everything. The sofa bed is very comfy, the bunk beds are good too, but prepare that you will need to make the bed (put the sheets on). The view is amazing, loved having our morning coffee or lunch on the balcony. The bus stop is right up front, with easy access to everything (bus 100, €1.50/person/trip). The place itself is perfect for 2, may be a little tight for 4. Kitchen is well equipped.

Our family of four adults thoroughly enjoyed our six-night stay in mid-September 2018. Many thanks to Terence, our host, for welcoming us to his second home on our arrival and showing us around before leaving us to explore this truly beautiful region. The unit, located on one end of the fourth floor immediately beneath the penthouse level, can be reached by elevator or by a circular interior staircase. The gated compound is well-landscaped and there is a designated parking space for the unit. The property has an inviting-looking swimming pool, which we never found the time to take advantage of. The sliding glass floor-to-ceiling wall system in the large living/dining area allowed us to open up the space to the outdoors and the wonderful views of the Villefranche-sur-Mer harbor and Saint-Jean–Cap-Ferrat peninsula. Although the unit has air conditioning, we were able to take advantage of light breezes during the day and evening. The well-equipped galley style kitchen and the master bedroom look out over the swimming pool and town rising up the mountain. While the two additional bedrooms face the building behind, the building is not close and the rooms are bright. Electric shutters in the bedrooms can be closed during the day to block out the intense sunlight; they also provide privacy at night. The large hall bathroom (with shower) and the half bath are located next to each other and near the master bedroom. The en-suite bathroom in the second bedroom has an electric (light duty) toilet near the entrance. The wet room (shower) is just beyond this. A glass sink is located on one side of the shower space. The master bedroom is a good size with plenty of space around the bed. The other two bedrooms are smaller, but were certainly sufficient for our needs. Although there are no wardrobes in the bedrooms, there are drawers in which to store clothes as well as sufficient closet space in the hallway. If our family returns to Villefranche-sur-Mer in the future, we would certainly stay here again as the location was perfect. While the property is well-represented by its HomeAway description, its views are more dramatic and beautiful than the listing’s photos can convey.
