perfect for small families or 2 couples. Close to the beach and very quiet neighborhood. The host is super friendly and we loved our vacation on Oahu. Highly recommend this place.

  • Stunning home next to my favorite beach in Waimanalo!

This was my third stay in Waimanalo and I found this wonderful "Ocean Song" home for rent. Skye takes great pride in her property and it is decorated with attention to every detail. It is sparkling clean and very well maintained just as described with a master bedroom and second bedroom and bathroom. My two siblings and I were very comfortable and relaxed in this roomy home. The patio was delightful and breezy. The garden area off the patio is lovely with tropical plants, cute little geckos and a fountain. I spent my mornings out there waking up to the sounds of the ocean waves crashing on the beach and the palms flowing in the breeze. The home is located on a quiet street with direct access to the beach just a moment's walk away. Skye has comfy beach chairs, mats, towels, cooler and boogie boards handy. Waimanalo is located on the east side of the island of Oahu away from the hustle and bustle of tourists and party atmosphere of Honolulu and Waikiki. This area is maybe 35 minutes from Waikiki, less than that to Hanauma Bay, mere minutes to Kailua/Kaneohe and an hour from the North Shore. The distances are short in miles, but traffic is a challenge so add time to get where you need to go. There is really good food within walking distance of this lovely rental to include: fresh poke, Mexican (very good but a bit pricey), Keneke's for down home Hawaiian fare at a good value and the homey shrimp shack, yum! We found the delightful Siagon Noodle House just 5 miles north on Keolu Dr, Kailua. Oh...and we also found scrumptious malasadas at a little bakery near the noodle house; drive around behind the Chinese restaurant to find it. And for those of you who need your Starbucks...it's right there too. The Diamond Head Luau at the Waikiki Aquarium was worth it. So much food and a wonderful show. Aloha Trikke tours was great fun. And we had a blast on the North Shore Shark Cage Adventure. Just do it! I highly recommend Sky's Ocean Song home for your family and we would rent this home again. You can pack light because she has a full-size washer and dryer, but be sure to bring quarters for the dryer. Aloha!
