We, 2 adults and two kids (10, 13) had a great time. Everything, beach, restaurants, bike rental, was around the corner. 15 min drive to San Diego downtown, 20 min per bike to La Jolla. The house was very clean, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and 2 great bathrooms. We can highly recommend the house.
This property exceeded our expectations. The house is even nicer in person, and you can't beat the location. We walked the short distance to the beach (and also to the bay) each day to see the sunrise and the sunset. It is literally 4 houses from the beach and maybe 2 blocks from the bay. It is also a quarter mile from the Belmont Amusement Park with a nice wooden rollercoaster, other rides, ziplining, etc. There are plenty of restaurants in this area. Mr. Ruriberto's Taco Shop was surprisingly good. We utilized the cement path along the beach and along the bay each day for runs/walks. There were plenty of places to rent bikes, scooters, etc. We are a family of 5 with 3 teenagers, and the house was very roomy for us. Having two bathrooms was a huge plus! We had everything we needed in the kitchen, and the wifi worked great. It was nice to have extra amenities like travel size soaps, shampoos, and plenty of toilet paper. Most places we've stayed don't provide this. Also, having a code for the doors for entry made it much easier. Our flights were delayed 12 hours, and we didn't have to worry about getting a key late at night. Chad was very responsive to any questions/issues. We would highly recommend this property/location. It was a short drive away from LaJolla (15 minutes), Coronado Island (30-40 minutes), Disneyland (90 minutes), Sea World (5 minutes) Joshua Tree National Park (2.5 hours), the Zoo (15 minutes), etc. Sadly, the water temperature was about 58 degrees in late December/early January, so we were only able to get in to our knees, but we spent time walking the beach and collecting sand dollars along the way. We loved being on the beach but having easy access to anything we wanted to do.
