Overall we had a very memorable stay. It takes some adjusting at first if you are not accustom to driving in the mountains or abroad but the house was very spacious and well kept. Any issues we had at first were handled by the owner promptly. Once we settled in, it was so nice to come back to the peaceful villa after a day of excursions. My children loved the fact that there were cats on the property and spent a good amount of time playing with them. The owners prepared a lovely meal
For us on our last night. I would recommend this property to larger families and people that enjoy nature and a rural setting. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the check in process and location is because it was a little hectic figuring out how to get to the house and you will need to drive out of the village to get to a grocery or pharmacy. They are not too far away, it just takes a day or 2 to get acclimated to the surroundings then it’s easy!
Nice villa up in the hills with a beautiful view (hills, sea, sunset!).
During the touristic season the pool is opened and being cleaned every day (not heated though). Beware that it's very windy up there. During our stay beginning of May it was quite chilly (14 to 18°C, exceptional apparently) and windy but once the sun was out and there was little wind, we could sunbathe. The two larger villas (3 bedrooms) are next to each other but still you have enough privacy. A bit further there were two smaller houses being made/renovated. For the rest... no neighbours, which was great for us. Inside the house it was quite chilly as well because not all heatings were working but they were going to fix that. A warm sweater will do.
The villa was cleaned every two days and the towels and bed sheets were changed. Great service! This was flexible so we could discuss another arrangement if wanted. Whenever something was broken or we had questions, the assistant/fixer/pool cleaner was there to help out.
The internet is not very strong, but will do for google maps, social media, internet browsing, etc. (When we wanted to stream a movie, we had to turn off the wifi on our phones and reset the router.)
About the location... You'll be able to do some beautiful hiking and see amazing sceneries. It's up in the hills, so no big supermarkets. We did some hiking, driving along the coast line and checking out some nice views, a boat trip to the shipwreck and blue caves, a visit and walk through Zakinthos, etc. We explored the whole island in 7 days.
All together: I'm happy to have stayed there and recommend this place! I think it's also a good spot to be up in the hills when it's really hot in summer.
Advice: rent a car
