The property's location is what made it! The neighborhood was super safe with sidewalks and bike lanes making for great walking. The beach was a five minute walk away, though we would hop in our rental and drive an hour and ten minutes to Sanibel.
The house had a great back yard, fenced in, we originally were going to bring our two dogs, but decided not to at the last minute- though if we had, they would have been happy hanging out in the grass.
So, the house needs a few things- in the past, when my husband I have rented other places, there have always been the basics. We ended up purchasing a few basics, that in other VRBO's have been provided. Coffee filters, wine opener, can opener, extra coffee mugs, dish towels, hand soap for the bathroom, plastic baggies, books for reading on the beach, a $40 beach chair, a $20 umbrella, a beach mat, and a cooler, all of which we left behind.
Other items we did not purchase but would have been great were bath mats (there were none), more towels, maybe even some beach towels, reading lamps on the nightstand, a cookie sheet (we attempted to make nachos and there was nothing to cook them on), aluminum foil, saran wrap, dishwasher soap.
Two days before we left, the coffee maker started beeping and stopped working- so maybe on upgrade with that as well.
The final suggestion would be to create a notebook with what to do regarding trash, recycling, closest grocery store, places to eat, what's needed for check out, etc.
Overall, the place has a lot of potential, it just needs some TLC.
