This is a lovely spot - clean, quiet, delightfully decorated. Steuben is a good location for exploring - and the Saturday brunch at Tunkjoy Bakery is wonderful.

This is a great cabin located in a nice private setting, with the ocean literally feet from the door. We enjoyed our stay. It was so relaxing and we got to see the full Hunter Moon rising right over the ocean. The cabin was clean and cozy, and the kitchen had everything you could need. We enjoyed day trips to Bar Harbor/Acadia, Schoodic Peninsula, Lubec and Campobello Island. I would rent this property again in a heartbeat.

If you like the woods, water & privacy, this is the place. It was quiet & relaxing watching the Lobster fisherman check their traps, looking for Eagles that nest & feed close by, yet, not too far from Acadia & Bar Harbor & exploring northern Maine.

This property in Steuben is stunning. Private, on the bluff overlooking the water, we thoroughly enjoyed the scenic views and were able to explore the tidal mud flats during low tide (bring shoes to wear in the mud and ocean water). We saw eagles and other marine birds. The binoculars were a great help! We had great weather and enjoyed the grill and a picnic lunch. The house is very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable sleeping and bathroom facilities. From Steuben it is possible to visit Acadia National Park and other "tourist" locations, but Steuben is a "quieter" part of the Maine coast. This was perfect for my husband and I, and while there are a few restaurants around, someone who wants to quickly pop to the grocery store or a fine dining experience might seek another location. As mentioned, there are options in the area for enjoyable dining and for visiting as a tourist but vehicle transportation is needed to access these places. Everything is a short or long drive. Overall, a wonderful stay! We would return in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay at this home, particularly for its peaceful location away from the hustle of Bar Harbor. The house itself is charming and well-maintained, and the quiet surroundings made for a relaxing getaway.
However, there are a few things we wish we had known before arrival to make our stay more comfortable. The upstairs area does not have a cooling unit or fan, which could be an issue during warmer months. Additionally, it would have been helpful to know in advance that coffee pods were needed rather than loose coffee, as well as other essentials like shampoo and toilet paper. We’ve stayed in many rentals over the years, and it’s been our experience that hosts typically provide a clear list of what’s included.
The kitchen is beautiful and has a selection of cooking supplies, but it’s worth noting that it lacks a standard-sized baking pan, only having a broiler pan that’s significantly smaller. This might be something to consider if you plan on doing much baking during your stay.
Overall, the home is lovely and offers a great escape from the busy areas, but a few additional details in the pre-arrival information and some kitchen supplies could enhance the experience.

The house is beautifully decorated and so cozy. There is a national wild life refuge steps away and anyone who stays here should definitely check it out. The owners made sure to check in with us when we arrived but we didn’t need a thing. It was perfect. I only wished we could have stayed longer!
