Hawthorne house rentals

As has been our experience in the past, we had such an amazing time just doing a lot of nothing! Our favorite thing to do! We caught some fish and ate them…..another of our favorite things to do. This is the most perfect place to relax and take in so many of God’s wonders. Thank you Linse and Jim, for sharing your beautiful lake place with us! My husband and I stayed two nights celebrating our 20th Anniversary and enjoyed this great rental. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. It’s remote so we brought food to cook and had no trouble finding pots, pans, skillets and utensils we needed. The kitchen is well stocked and the fridge kept my beer good and cold. The shower had good water pressure and hot water. There was more than enough towels for bathroom and kitchen. We rode our side by side to several fishing spots and caught bait and a few good bass. The owner is very friendly and quick to respond to all my questions. The porch is a great place to hang out, play ping pong and darts. It’s a great place and we plan to go back.

This was a delightful residence for our six-day stay in Ocala. As described, the kitchen facilities were fine for breakfasts and take-out dinners, but not for serious cooking. The neighborhood is safe, pleasant, and very quiet. We'll be back in Ocala, and will be delighted to stay here again.

Quaint little cottage set in an even quainter, quiet little town. House was spotless and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. We were visiting to do some hiking and birding in the Paines Prairie State Park areas and Sweetwater Wetlands Park in Gainesville. Not only did we have a fantastic time birding these areas , we visited Miconopy for some shopping and dining both Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Blue Highway Pizza, and Antonio’s were dinner spots , Breakfast was at the Pearl Country Store and Barbecue, and lunch at the Old World Cafe. All within a few miles drive. I also purchased some plants at a little store within walking distance of the Cottage. We could not have asked for a better location. We even spotted several bird species including Sandhill Cranes in a walk about McIntosh where all the neighbors were friendly ! If your looking for a quiet relaxed getaway, this is the place for you !

My family and I stayed there along with another couple with their 7 year old child. The place was great and we could not have been happier! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area.
