Meet the Vrbo Hosts Who Make Your Together Possible

Meet the Vrbo Hosts Who Make Your Together Possible

Vrbo wouldn’t be anything without our hardworking hosts who are committed to making guests feel welcome when they take their family vacations. Whether their homes are near snowy mountains or sunny beaches, our hosts love that people around the world can enjoy staying in their vacation rentals to unwind and experience new surroundings.

We had the opportunity of catching up with a few real-life Vrbo hosts who starred in our latest ad campaign “Let’s Do Together Together” that began airing online and on TV this week. All of them are Premier Hosts who take immense pride in renting their vacation homes.

“Most of our commercial spots feature the moments of family togetherness that happen on vacation in a Vrbo. But for this campaign, we wanted to honor our amazing hosts who make those moments possible,” said Danny Parker, Global Creative Director at Vrbo. “It was a lovely experience shooting them in their actual vacation homes, seeing firsthand how much care and attention they put into making each stay really special for their guests.”

Meet some of the hosts from our latest campaign, check out their listings, and learn what they love about being a Vrbo host:

In addition to the income he earns from renting out his cabins on Vrbo, some of Marcus’ favorite things about his vacation homes at Colorado Lodge are the hammocks on site, which are perfect for reading books under the huge ponderosa pines.

Marcus also loves when guests get to experience the snowy surroundings and celebrate special occasions at Colorado Lodge.

“I really enjoy getting to see families bring their kids to the snow for the first time and see how much fun they have tooling around our property.”

He added, “During Covid when a lot of other vacation destinations were closed, we had a couple come and enjoy their 30th anniversary with us in the mountains. They seemed to have a great time which was pretty cool to see.”

The ocean views from Sean’s Malibu vacation home are simply stunning and the location of his rental is hard to beat.

He said, “My guests can step off the balcony and walk on the beach and soak in the ocean breeze. We also have a very quiet neighborhood for our guests to rest and recharge their energy.”

Sean loves that guests can enjoy a weekend at the beach, the relaxing scenery and friendly neighborhood, but ultimately shared that his “favorite thing about being a Vrbo host is the ability to connect with other people who I have never met.”

“One of my guests was staying at our place during the grunion season, which is when the grunion lay eggs on the shore. In the middle of the night, they caught a bunch of them in front of our balcony and deep fried the fish for breakfast. She sent me pictures of them staying up to catching the grunion and the final product of those fried fish. Yummy! I had no idea this was even possible. It was so funny, and we all had a good laugh.”

Christina’s cabin in Big Bear is the perfect home away from home for guests to relax and recharge. Property ID: 1925780

Premier host Christina’s favorite thing about her 5-star A-frame cabin is that it is truly a home away from home.

She shared, “Even though it’s only 2 hours away from our residence in Los Angeles, it’s far enough away from the daily grind where we can decompress, recharge our batteries, while enjoying the serene atmosphere surrounded by nature and the lake.”

Christina’s favorite thing about being a host is being able to share their home with others so they can create lasting memories with their loved ones.

She recounted a story of recent guests who celebrated their 5-year anniversary at her cabin. “They have been so busy with work, new challenges of raising a newborn along with Covid-19, and they were unsure if celebrating their anniversary would be possible. I was able to work with their schedule and surprise them with her favorite bottle of wine. It really made them happy. The feeling of helping our guests celebrate their special occasion is unmatched.“
