Picnic in Forsyth Park

This 30-acre park is one of the most famous spots in the city – the 19th century cast-iron fountain was designed to resemble the grand fountain in Paris and is nothing short of breathtaking. Local couples love to pack picnics and spend lazy afternoons lounging on blankets beneath shady trees. On Saturdays, there’s also a lovely farmer’s market.

The most romantic way to end a trip in the city is watching the sunset at Tybee Island. Just a short walk from downtown, this barrier island on the coast is one of the most peaceful spots in the city.
